AI is eating the world
But are you doing anything with it?
Welcome back to the Launch Key 🚀
A number of you have inquired about my use of AI and as written here before, I’m dabbling with content creation but I am not using AI to generate any part of Launch Key. I am reading about and testing a number of tools, but haven’t built AI into production … yet.
That could change if you tell me you’d like more AI articles and understanding. I am at least going to add more AI findings in the Modern Tools section. I might be interested in creating a 2nd weekly newsletter - focused solely on AI - but it’s up to you. Let me know what you think in today’s poll.
Let's get into it.
Gmail users may wish to read online since some parts may be clipped. Comment below and let me know if we’re on the right track.

Pull to Eject
It’s easy to roll your eyes at the hype wagon of AI breathlessly covered via Bloomberg, but it’s hard to live without it in our daily life.
Do you use facial recognition on your phone?
How about Siri or Alexa?
When did you last talk to a customer service person instead of a chat-bot?
Does your doctor recommend based on your age, weight, sex, family history?
Are your Amazon suggestions highly accurate?
Does your coffee maker or refrigerator automatically reorder?
Do you use Uber, Google or Apple maps, Waze?
Tesla autonomous driving?
Are you tired of AI baby videos? (I’m not 😉, Monty Python is hilarious!)
Marc Andreessen famously wrote about software eating the world 15 years ago. Today AI is eating the world.
Like the implosion of corporate-owned technology (think IBM mainframes) into consumer driven tech (iOS and Android), today’s general public now has access to more powerful tools than ever before.
AI for the DIY crowd
Creative has never been more accessible as a result of today’s AI.
You’ve been asleep at the switch if you haven’t seen the dramatic rise in Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, etc) and learned that the secret was writing good prompts.
Students, marketers and especially LinkedIn posters have abused the ease of creating generic content to the point that it stands out for all the wrong reasons.
But better inputs will improve that output over time. Google has a decent guide to improve your own prompts here ⬇️.
Far beyond words, are the creative images and videos easily generated by emerging tools.
Just one example is PromeAI allowing you to turn sketches into realistic photos. Or generate an image using text. Or turn text into stunning AI-generated images, art, illustrations, drawings, paintings and more.
Or maybe you’ve wished for an app on your phone that did exactly what you wanted and how you wanted it? Maybe its for exercise or cooking or planning or whatever.
You can literally build it yourself with tools like Magically.
Without ‘learning to code.’
The universe of accessible AI tools is literally exploding.
And like the 1990’s internet, many of them may not make the final cut. But – that makes it the perfect time to experiment and create.
Carpe diem.
Now go launch something 🚀

Modern Tools
When I started Launch Key, I aimed to show off modern software tools like Canva, Notion and Gumroad. But those are yesterday’s news.
AI has become the new hotness for so many functional areas that I’m adding interesting use cases in this Modern Tool section going forward.
Feel free to forward tools that you think are worth sharing with our community.
